ProFuel Activated Charcoal 180 Capsules

A daily serving of ProFuel activated charcoal capsules contains 2000 mg of activated charcoal. A daily serving consists of 6 capsules.
The activated charcoal powder is derived from coconut shells. These are a natural byproduct of the production of coconut oil, coconut milk, and coconut water. The coconut shells are carbonized in an oxygen-free environment at high temperatures and then activated with steam, giving the activated charcoal an extremely large internal surface area.

ProFuel activated charcoal should ideally be taken about 30 minutes before a meal and again shortly afterward to reduce excessive bloating after eating. When taking medication, a time interval of at least two hours should be observed between taking the activated charcoal and the medication.

ProFuel activated charcoal is suitable for a vegan diet, as the product contains no animal-derived ingredients and the capsule shell is made of purely plant-based cellulose. The product is manufactured under strict quality controls directly in Germany.

Activated charcoal in toothpaste primarily acts mechanically as an abrasive, removing surface stains (e.g., from coffee or tea) like sandpaper and making teeth appear whiter in the short term. However, there is a risk that the coarse particles will roughen or erode tooth enamel with regular use, making teeth more sensitive and susceptible to cavities and new stains. Furthermore, many charcoal toothpastes lack the protective fluoride, and the charcoal's absorbent properties are often already saturated by other ingredients in the tube.
