This gel padding reduces pressure on the ulnar nerve and carpal tunnel. The ulnar nerve and carpal tunnel are areas in the hand that can cause pain or numbness when subjected to pressure or vibration. By distributing the pressure over a larger area, the strain on the nerves is reduced.

Chiba Gel Performer gloves are made from a material composition of 38% polyamide, 23% polyurethane, 20% polyester, 13% polyethylene, and 6% elastane. The back of the hand is made of elastic materials such as Lycra and Spantex, while the palm is made of durable microfiber and features anatomically shaped gel padding. The gloves are machine washable at 30°C.
