For initial treatment, the wooden trough should first be wiped with a damp cloth and thoroughly dried. Then, it should be rubbed with linseed oil or paraffin oil at approximately 60 degrees Celsius, which must be allowed to penetrate for at least 10 hours; this process should be repeated twice. For daily cleaning, wiping with a damp cloth or a quick rinse without detergent is sufficient, but immersion in water or the dishwasher should be strictly avoided. To prevent cracking, the wood must dry thoroughly in a well-ventilated place, away from direct sunlight or extreme heat, and no water should be left inside.
