The Ove Viking tunic with herringbone pattern is based on historical models such as the archaeological finds from Bernuthsfeld (8th century), Thorsberg (4th century), and Haithabu. Typical features of these designs include gussets under the arms for greater freedom of movement and the use of herringbone fabrics. Due to this historical orientation, the tunic is ideally suited for portraying the Early Middle Ages, as well as for Viking reenactment, LARP, and medieval markets.
