Viking dress Hilja with dragon embroidery, blue

The Hilja Viking dress is made of 100% cotton (sturdy canvas). For a complete Nordic costume, a simple underdress, bowl or box brooches, a leather belt, and matching shoes are recommended.

The Hilja Viking dress is available in sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL, and in the color combinations blue/mustard yellow and red/petrol. Please note that only the outer dress is included; the matching underdress and other accessories must be purchased separately. If your measurements fall between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size.

The embroidery on the Viking dress Hilja is based on the historical Jelling style of the 10th century and depicts two dragons or serpentine creatures. The cut is based on the typical, simple basic shape of early medieval overdresses (smokkr) with wide straps and follows the principle of being as authentic as possible, as modern as necessary, making it ideally suited for reenactment.

The Hilja Viking dress should be machine washed on a gentle cycle at 40 degrees Celsius and is not suitable for tumble drying. To determine the correct size, measure your chest circumference horizontally at its fullest point and refer to the size chart; if you are between two sizes, it is recommended to choose the larger size.
