How should a cotton canvas storage tarpaulin be cleaned and cared for to maintain its water-repellent impregnation and protection against rot in the long term?

Clean the storage tarpaulin with lukewarm water and a soft brush. For stubborn stains, use a special soap-based cleaner. Absolutely avoid machine washing and tumble drying, as this will damage the fabric and the protective coating. To prevent rot and mildew, the tarpaulin must only be stored when completely dry. The water-repellent finish should be refreshed regularly, at least every three to four years or after intensive cleaning, using a water-based product on both sides.
