The elegant olive wood ladle should only be cleaned by hand with lukewarm water and mild dish soap, and dried thoroughly immediately. It must never be cleaned in the dishwasher or left to soak in water. To preserve its characteristic grain and natural antibacterial properties, the wood should be regularly rubbed with a food-safe cooking oil such as olive or linseed oil. Avoid extreme heat and direct sunlight.

Olive wood offers excellent hygienic advantages for ladles due to its extremely dense cell structure and natural antibacterial substances like oleuropein, which effectively inhibit the growth of germs and bacteria. Unlike plastics, which often become porous or can contain harmful substances, olive wood remains odorless and does not absorb fats or liquids.
