Lorica Squamata, Roman scale armor

This Roman scale armor is a detailed reconstruction of the classic lorica squamata, as worn primarily by the cavalry during the imperial period.

• Authentic replica of a short-cut armor variant from the period approximately 100 to 250 AD
• Made from numerous brass plates arranged in an overlapping, fish-scale pattern for maximum protection
• Robust base made of sturdy canvas and vegetable-tanned leather for high wearing comfort and durability
• Additional stability is provided by the elaborate weaving of the individual metal scales with wire along the long sides
• Individual fit thanks to adjustable leather straps at the sides and neck collar
• Imposing appearance with a weight of approximately 6 kg and a total length of approximately 60 cm
