Medieval leg guards made of 2mm steel - pair

These hand-forged leg guards were made from 2 mm thick steel. They are attached to the leg using leather straps with buckles, allowing for individual size adjustment.

The design of these greaves is inspired by armor from the High to Late Middle Ages, where steel plates were commonly used to protect the shins and calves. Made with 2 mm thick steel, they are exceptionally robust and therefore ideal for heavy use in reenactments and staged combat, as they offer excellent protection against blows. They are also perfectly suited for LARP characters seeking authentic and durable armor.

These leg braces come in one size, which can be individually adjusted to the leg circumference using the integrated leather straps on the back. A selection of different fixed sizes is not available for this specific 2mm steel model.

To protect steel greaves from rust and ensure their longevity, the following care instructions should be observed: - Cleaning and drying: After each use, the greaves must be thoroughly cleaned of dirt and moisture and then completely dried.

- Surface protection: Regularly apply a thin protective layer of oil (e.g., Ballistol or a special corrosion protection oil) or wax to seal the metal against humidity.

- Storage: Store the armor in a dry place and avoid standing water or condensation.

- Maintenance: Regularly check the surface for scratches or the beginnings of surface rust and repair minor damage immediately to prevent further corrosion.
