To optimally protect a leather corset during long-term storage, it should first be thoroughly cleaned, treated with a leather conditioner, and completely dried. Store the corset in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place with a humidity level between 40 and 60% to prevent mold and drying out. To protect it from deformation, it should not be folded or squeezed, but ideally stuffed with tissue paper or hung on a padded hanger in a breathable cotton bag. Absolutely avoid plastic bags, direct sunlight, and proximity to heat sources to keep the material supple and colorfast.
