Authentic Viking Leather Hair Clip & Bone Pin

The bone pin is made of genuine cow bone. The hair clip is crafted from sturdy cowhide leather, approximately 3 to 3.5 mm thick, and is securely fastened by the 13 cm long pin, ensuring a stable hold even with thicker hair.

To preserve the vegetable-tanned cowhide leather of the hair clip and its embossed design for the long term, it should be regularly cleaned with a soft, slightly damp cloth and occasionally treated with a special leather conditioner or leather grease. Be sure to apply the conditioner sparingly and buff as needed to keep the leather supple and prevent it from drying out.

The design of the embossed pin is based on Viking Age motifs, with bone pins of this type often modeled after historical finds from sites such as Haithabu or Trondheim. The included pin is versatile and can be used not only as a hair ornament but also separately as a garment pin for cloaks, tunics, or to fasten other garments.

The leather part of the Viking hair clip measures approximately 11.5 x 6 cm and is about 3 mm thick. The accompanying bone pin, which often features a dragon's head motif based on a find from Haithabu, is approximately 13 cm long.
