Cold Steel hunting spear made of SK-5 steel including scabbard

The shaft of the Cold Steel hunting spear (model 95EDS) is made of steel and is part of a three-piece, welded construction consisting of the socket, shaft, and head. A matching Secure-Ex scabbard is included. Please note that the product is supplied without a wooden handle; however, the socket is compatible with standard ash wood handles.

The Cold Steel hunting spear has a total length of approximately 76.2 cm. According to the manufacturer, the SK-5 steel construction is particularly suitable for hunting and self-defense, as the spearhead is designed to bend rather than break under stress and features a reinforcing rib for maximum penetration power.

The Secure-Ex sheath is distinguished by its robustness and weather resistance, making it more durable than conventional leather sheaths. For secure attachment, the spearhead is placed on the optional wooden handle (for example, a common ash wood handle for shovels) and can be further secured with two included screws.

The Cold Steel hunting spear (American hunting spear) weighs approximately 593 g without the optional wooden handle. The spearhead is made of Japanese SK-5 carbon steel.
