The design of the Bliaut Konstanze is modeled on European court fashion of the 11th to 13th centuries, drawing inspiration from specific historical examples such as the Sant'Elena fresco in the Basilica of San Lorenzo in Milan or the encyclopedia Hortus Deliciarum. Due to its authentic appearance with characteristic trumpet sleeves, the dress is ideally suited for reenactment, LARP, medieval markets, historical banquets, and the portrayal of noblewomen or wealthy burgher wives of the High Middle Ages.
