Germany

1. Scope & Legal Basis

These shipping conditions apply to all orders placed via Chronenwerk.com and supplement our Terms and Conditions, Cancellation Policy, and Privacy Policy. German law applies; mandatory EU consumer rights remain unaffected.

1.1 Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are €4.90 within Germany, international shipments cost €9.90

2. Shipping Origin, Tax & Delivery Area

The goods are shipped directly to you in Germany from our fulfillment center in Italy within the European Union (direct shipping). No customs duties are charged within the EU. Unless otherwise stated, prices include German VAT. We typically deliver to addresses in Germany; deliveries to other countries are possible upon prior arrangement. 3. Shipping Providers & Service Levels We use reliable parcel services selected by us (e.g., DHL/Deutsche Post, UPS, DPD, GLS). The choice of service provider is at our discretion; there is no entitlement to a specific provider. Packaging is neutral and secure for transport. Valuable shipments are always sent with a signature upon delivery. 4. Mandatory Personal Delivery (Watches & Jewelry)

For security, insurance, and fraud prevention reasons, all orders are delivered exclusively by personal delivery against signature to the recipient or an authorized recipient expressly designated by the recipient. Delivery to an agreed location, parcel lockers/collection boxes, or delivery to neighbors is not permitted.
For orders with a merchandise value of €2,500 or more, an identity check (presentation of an official identification document for visual inspection by the delivery person) may be required, provided the service offered by the delivery provider is available. If identity verification at the delivery location is not possible, delivery will take place at a branch or service point designated by the delivery provider upon presentation of proof of identity. These measures may extend the delivery time by a reasonable amount of time.

6. Processing Times & Delivery Times

Orders are generally processed within one to three business days after receipt of payment (Monday to Friday; excluding Italian and German public holidays). During peak periods, processing may take up to five business days. Delivery within Germany typically takes two to five business days from dispatch. These figures are non-binding guidelines and do not constitute guaranteed delivery dates unless expressly agreed upon in writing. Express or scheduled deliveries are possible upon special confirmation; the respective additional charges of the service provider will apply.

7. Special Services (Strap Shortening, Engraving, Regulation)

Upon request, we provide watch-specific preliminary services such as strap shortening, engraving, or basic regulation. Such services may extend the processing time by one to three business days. Engravings, individual strap adjustments, and other custom-made items are considered personalized goods – if contractually agreed upon – and are generally excluded from the right of withdrawal; statutory warranty rights remain unaffected. 8. Partial Deliveries We are entitled to make partial deliveries, provided these are advantageous for prompt processing and remain reasonable for you. You will not incur any additional shipping costs as a result. The delivery times will be extended accordingly in this case. 9. Shipping Insurance & Investigation All shipments are insured at least up to the invoice amount. In the event of suspected loss or damage in transit, we will immediately initiate an investigation with the shipping provider and file a damage report. You can help us by providing the requested information (e.g., photos of the packaging and goods, a description of the damage, and, if applicable, confirmation from the delivery person). A replacement or refund will be issued – to the extent legally permissible – after the investigation has been completed or after confirmation from the service provider. Your statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.

10. Transfer of Risk, Visual Inspection & Transport Damage

For consumers, the risk of accidental loss or accidental damage passes to you or your designated recipient only upon delivery. For businesses, the risk passes upon delivery to the carrier (§ 447 BGB). Please inspect the shipment upon delivery. Obvious transport damage should be reported immediately to the delivery person and to us within 24 hours so that we can process the claim efficiently. This request is for the purpose of prompt processing; Your statutory rights are not affected by this.

11. Non-delivery, default of acceptance & returns

If delivery is not possible, for example, because no one is available to accept the package, the package is not collected from the branch despite notification, or the address details are incomplete, the shipment will be returned to us. Reshipment will be arranged; we will charge the actual return shipping costs and the shipping costs for the new shipment. If you decide to cancel in this context, we will refund the purchase price less the actual shipping costs incurred for both delivery and return, as well as any additional charges charged by the service provider, to the extent legally permissible. Your rights under the right of withdrawal and warranty remain unaffected.

12. Delivery options & Risk Notice

Due to the mandatory personal handover, drop-off agreements, garage contracts, delivery release authorizations, parcel lockers, and deliveries to neighbors are excluded. If you unilaterally change delivery options directly with the service provider contrary to these conditions, you bear the risk – to the extent permitted by law – from the moment the service provider confirms the drop-off or redirection. Statutory rights in the event of non-delivery remain unaffected.

13. Industry Specifics for Watches & Jewelry

Watches are shipped – if available – with the original box, papers or certificates, warranty cards, and any protective films. Please keep all accessories, including removed bracelet links, carefully. In the event of a return, compensation may be charged if a loss in value is due to handling beyond what is necessary to ascertain the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the item. This includes, in particular, visible signs of wear, missing protective films, lost or unreturned strap links, missing accessories, or damage to packaging and documents. Instructions for handling batteries/button cells must be observed; used batteries can be returned free of charge in accordance with the German Battery Act (BattG). 14. Retention of Title

The goods remain our property until full payment has been received. For business customers, the extended and expanded retention of title applies in accordance with our General Terms and Conditions.

15. Force Majeure & Extraordinary Circumstances

In the event of events beyond our control (such as labor disputes, natural disasters, official actions, or global disruptions), processing and delivery times will be extended accordingly. Statutory rights remain unaffected.
